Summer Party

NIA SUMMER PARTY


The Nordic Institute of Art invited colleagues, supporters and collaboration partners for it´s first annual Summer Party in the court yard of the Institute´s office premises on Bygdøy Allé in Oslo.


NIA Director Knut Ljøgodt took the opportunity to announce several new projects in his welcome speech, including a collaboration with the Vigeland Museum in Oslo to introduce the art of Norwegian fin-de-siècle sculptor Gustav Vigeland (1889-1943) to an international audience.


Among the many notable guests present were the Governing Mayor of Oslo, Raymond Johansen, Olav Aaraas, Director of the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History, Jarle Strømodden, Director of the Vigeland Museum, Christian Minos, CEO of the Eva Bull Holte Foundation and Katya García-Antón, Director of Office of Contemporary Art and member of the The NIA Advisory Board. The NIA Associate Fellows body was represented by Dr. Marit Paasche and Mag. Art Hilde Mørch.
